Seventh Constitutional Amendment

Right to Jury Trial in civil cases

What are your thoughts in regard to having a right to a jury trial in Civil cases?  Do you think it would be beneficial for a civil matter to be decided amongst a jury of peers?  The seventh amendment leaves it up to each individual state to determine this.  What are your thoughts?
